The Ministry of Local Government and USAID/Uganda marked the official close-out of the NUDEIL Tranche IV project at a stakeholder meeting held at Boma Hotel in Gulu District. The event, chaired by Anthony Namara, Commissioner for Local Economic Development, celebrated the theme: ‘Celebrating Impact, Fostering Sustainability, and Strengthening Local Development.’

Funded under a Government-to-Government (G2G) partnership between the U.S. and Ugandan governments, the Northern Uganda Development of Enhanced Local Governance Infrastructure and Livelihoods (NUDEIL) program had been a key driver of post-conflict recovery since its inception in 2009.

Tranche IV, the final phase, concluded a 16-year journey of infrastructure rehabilitation and local empowerment in a region long scarred by the Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency.
